Who remembers this?! – Upstage mixtape now on DUJON.NET

Last night I finally managed to get my hands on a copy of this throwback from grade 10 (aka 2004).

Shout outs to P-Clipse, Vypa, K-Riz n Brisk! After listening to the whole thing for the first time in years, I think my favorite track on it is Brisk’s “Rethink”. That sample is too sick, and Brisk goes hard! Riz kills “She Calls Me Right Back” too. Then there’s “Try This”… “Let’s Get Naughty”… Oh man! The recordings are pretty raw but fuck it, it’s a classic!

Some updates on the crew…

• Vypa goes by Troy Anthony now.
• P-Clipse goes by Mic Magic.
• “Illistic” is now “Dujon” <— that’s me
• Magic runs a label/group called “New City”- they’ve put out 2 mixtapes so far.
• Brisk is in a crew called Unlikely Heroes – they’ve got a mixtape comin out this year.
• I’ve got a mixtape called “19 Steps to Success” comin out this month (for real this time) which Troy n Mic Magic are both on
• Riz is about to release his first EP
• Upstage Ent. the business is done… DigitalHeart Beats is my new company. (We lookin for sexy interns, holla at me!)
